Walsh looks like a new person. He was confident with the puck and skating around. He seems like a 2 way defender that leans more offense.

The issue I have with Holtz is he seemed predictable and slow. But with that said, his two blasts went in. Ovi does this too, very predictable but unstoppable shot.

Stillman isnt afraid of being physical or playing in the dirty areas and he does seem to have pretty good hands.

If these kids continue to grow in Utica or make the Devils, its gonna be a fun one this year.

Holtz is far from a lock in my opinion. If we can post the kid up in Ovi's office and just have Jack and Nico tee'ing him up for bombs on the PP, I have no doubt he'd score. Problem I have is with the other 95% of his game. Even amongst a bunch of AHL hopefuls, he was far from a dominant force in either game. I really hope his lack of speed isn't a limiting factor in how far he can go in the league. God knows we need a legit sniper that can beat goalies clean.

just spamming again

I've been running a 20 team yahoo league for the past 12 years and always have a few openings. It's primarily hockeybuzz peoples (though now I realize it would've made sense for people to use their hockeybuzz names as their team names.. but I digress).

20 teams, large rosters, live snake draft, no keepers, no money. The draft takes about 2.5 hours, so it's an experience.

Stats include the usual plus FW, hits, blocks.

Draft date isn't finalized yet.

Draft will likely the evening of Friday the 23rd, closer to 7EDT on Saturday the 1st, or closer to 930EDT on Sunday the 2nd.

Send me a message if you're interested!

Im okay with Holtz modeling Brett Hull.

Hull was slow as poop, but if Holtz can find those openings and sneak in, he wont need speed. Hull scored a lot around the hash marks, Holtz's shot is powerful enough to score from the Kovy's spot. He has the tools, I wonder if Fitz thinks its enough to play.

I always hated coaches that took a gifted offense and made him round out his game. I hope they let Holtz play to his strengths no to (frank) up his offensive potential.
